In the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications in Romania showcased varied performance trends across downloads and active user engagement. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the market dynamics for these apps.

The Waze Navigation & Live Traffic app saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at around 27K in early July and peaking at over 41K in the week of August 12. However, by the end of September, downloads had decreased to approximately 20.5K. Meanwhile, its weekly active users initially increased from about 959K to over 1.1M in mid-August but eventually declined to roughly 901K by the end of the quarter.
